2026 UPCOMING LIST OF EVENTS

The SDTA has a presence in events across the state. Gun shows, youth events, Black Hills Stock Show & Rodeo, ect. These public outreach programs are VITAL to our survival. We must, must educate the public on BMPs, proper techniques, current regulations or even just talk to them and let them handle fur. Will they all become trappers? No. But they will vote someday. Everyone we educate now is someone the anti-people have to spend more money on and work harder to get to their side.

You do not have to be a professional trapper to work a booth at these events! A few hours of your time talking to people could help in ways that are not measurable. Contact ANY director to volunteer for any of these events.

April 25th, 2026 - SDTA 63rd Annual Spring Rendezvous located at the Nordby Convention Center on the State Fair grounds in Huron, SD.

September 18th & 19th, 2026 - SDTA 63rd Annual Fall Rendezvous located at the Japanese Gardens, Flandreau, SD

Plus over the coming year your SDTA will attend and have a presence at the Brookings, Watertown, Aberdeen, Sioux Falls, and Ft. Pierre Gun shows, as well as attendance every day at the Stock Show in Rapid City (check back soon for date updates). If you can help, please let a director know. It’s not a huge commitment and a lot of fun.
